Day 18: Keeping it Local in Clearwater
We decided to embrace a “local” kind of day today to recharge. We kicked off the morning with some energetic pickleball at the community park, took a quick detour to check out another stunning waterfall, and then headed up to the local ski hill to play a few holes of disc golf. While we were out and about, we restocked our grocery supply and grabbed some firewood from a quaint roadside stand for tonight’s campfire.

The nearby Wells Gray Provincial Park actually boasts an incredible 42 named waterfalls! Knowing our limits, we opted to just visit one of the closest ones and officially called it a day on our waterfall chasing.

Back at the RV, Rob spoiled us with an absolutely delicious meal: ahi tuna steaks paired with the fresh, local sourdough bread we picked up during our Valemount stop. It was the kids’ first time trying ahi tuna, and to our delight, they absolutely loved it.
After dinner, we gathered around to finish watching the USA vs. Belgium World Cup match. We capped off a perfectly relaxing day by heading outside to enjoy a cozy campfire and roast some s’mores.
