Day 11: Laundry and Town
Since it was supposed to pour rain all day, we decided to make today a chore day. Rob took some work calls while Kelly and the boys headed into town to visit the laundromat. The trip reminded us all what a privilege it is to have a washer and dryer at home! Although the boys were convinced they should have been allowed to stay at the RV for screen time, it was a good life experience, and they ended up being super helpful.

After Rob wrapped up his work, he rode his bike from the campground to meet us in town. His timing was perfect, as he arrived just in time to help us carry the huge load of laundry back to the car. We had scored a free parking spot by arriving early, so we decided to leave the car there while we explored town.

We grabbed pizzas at Bear Street Tavern and spent a few hours walking around Banff before heading back to the RV. On the outskirts of town, we were greeted by a herd of elk, which was incredibly cool to watch.

Back at the RV, some of us took naps while others enjoyed some screen time before dinner. Nicholas picked out and prepared the perfect mango at the grocery store. It was so yummy!

After dinner, we decided to drive the Lake Minnewanka loop again, hoping to spot some bears (Rob’s top priority!). Unfortunately, we didn’t see any animals tonight.
