Day 25: Rain!

It took 25 days, but we finally got some heavy-ish rain, which made for the perfect day to get homework/work done and put less pressure on the end of the week.

During a break in the rain, we headed down to check out the very swollen river and other campsites. It was also the first time we took out the rain boots and umbrellas. A picture wasn’t captured, but both boys loved running around with the umbrellas when it was pouring. Showing their Seattle roots, I guess.

We wanted to save the day with a campfire, but this was the toughest wood we have had to date. So much smoke. The dampness made it even harder.
