Day 3: Father’s Day and Train Trestles
Happy Father’s Day to Rob and all the other dads out there! We are so thankful for all the fun, planning, and love that he brings to our family.
What better way to start off the day than at Tim Horton’s for donuts and coffee. This was the little energy boost we needed before our 15-mile bike ride on the Myra Canyon Trestles trail. The views were spectacular, and riding across 18 train trestles on a nearly flat railroad was such a fun adventure to mark this special day.

During our drive we listened to the Costco episode of the Acquired podcast. It is absolutely fascinating, and we highly recommend it. We then, of course, needed to stop by the Kelowna Costco on our way back to the campground to check out what unique items they had. At the food court, Rob had Poutine, and the kids had chicken strips and ice cream. A lesson learned: they don’t take Visa at Costco in Canada, unless it’s the Costco Visa, which we have, but neither of us had the physical card (Apple Pay doesn’t count). They also take Mastercard, which we also don’t have. We ended up having to go to the ATM and pay with cash.

The evening wrapped up with hot dogs and more s’mores over the fire, as well as enjoying the pie from yesterday.

Happy Father’s Day to Rob, we are truly the luckiest!
