Day 29: Pittsburgh, Science and Pirates
Rob finally got a day in an office to work at a real desk with a monitor! We dropped him off at the Pittsburgh Google office (with our laundry) before hitting the Carnegie Science Center for the day.

We toured a local submarine at the museum and all enjoyed the human body and space sections. The kids loved the sports area, and Kelly loved the mini train section.

With a bit of extra time before the Pirates game, we took a small detour Point State Park via the train to see the confluence (where the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers meet to form the Ohio River).

We then walked along the river and crossed at the Roberto Clemente Bridge, right by the stadium, which was a fun way to get to the game.

Highlights included the gorgeous view from our seats and getting on the jumbotron, a first for all of us. A lowlight was the fact that the White Sox were in town, making this a game between two of the worst teams in baseball. Fortunately it was also fireworks night (part of the annual “Yinzerpalooza Weekend presented by Mrs.T’s Pierogies“), and they didn’t disappoint.

So thankful Rob drove us home from the stadium with all of the traffic and detours; it was a doozy.
