Day 24: Free Day

Today was the day we had originally planned to go to Columbus, and with Cedar Point scheduled for tomorrow, we ended up having a bit of a free day, which is pretty rare on this trip.

Rob started with a run through Sandusky, which is his favorite way to explore a city, a habit he acquired on work trips.

After breakfast we had some pool time at the RV park. Pretty sure this is the first time Cooper has expressed a desire to tan.

Nicholas really wanted to rent a golf cart, but he was too young, so he settled for a pedal car instead. However, when we went to the office, he saw something else, something they call a “Rydable”. It’s basically one of those handicapped scooter things like they have at the grocery store, but it goes faster and is covered by a cute, bedbug-encrusted furry coating. Such a great idea; Nicholas loved it.

He even shared a bit of the magic with his brother.

It was pretty warm, so we broke out the Moomers ice cream we’d bought in Traverse City. Rob thought this cherry praline pecan might be the best ice cream ever.

After dinner, we needed to get out of the RV park, so we went fanny pack shopping (like it’s the ’90s!) and back to downtown Sandusky to snap a couple family pics.
