Day 11: Drive to Duluth and Paddleboating
Another lesson learned. It was a three-hour drive day and the roads (mostly MN State Highway 200) were SO bumpy. Turns out we should have looked at the map closer, because just 15 minutes out of the way US-2, which would have likely been much smoother.
During the crazy bumpy roads we all heard a clang. We thought it was a pot shifting. Later on the trip closer to our destination the A/C stopped working, and now we wonder if that noise was something breaking or falling off the RV. Once we arrived at our destination, Rob investigated and found a blown fuse. Replacing it seems to have fixed the problem, but we’re not sure why the fuse blew. Fingers crossed it was a fluke.
We’re spending three nights at Red Pine Campground, about 20 minutes northwest of Duluth.

Rob was busy working at his makeshift desk setup, so the rest of us explored the campground, including taking the paddleboat out for a spin. We also saw another turtle today along side the road in the campground.

We had dinner outside in the excellent weather, but then had to buckle down and do lots of laundry to do tonight (relatively cheap at $2.25/wash and $1.50/dry),
One of my favorite chefs on the Food Network bought an RV like yours and headed west. He and his wife needed another repair of their RV in South Dakota, gave up, sold the RV, bought a house and so they now live in South Dakota.
