Day 61: 18 Years!
Today Rob and Kelly celebrated their 18 year wedding anniversary. Spoiler alert: it started with Tim Horton’s donuts and ended with bagged salad and Coors Light at a rest area for dinner.
We had a long drive day planned, so we didn’t plan anything else. It started off surrounded by vineyards near Niagara which then turned to corn fields and windmills in some rain before we got to the boarder crossing at Blue Water Bridge. There was no wait for RVs at customs, so we were through very quickly.

The Michigan roads were pretty smooth sailing. Our route this summer is a huge figure 8, and we hit our crossover point today, in Flint, where we stopped at the same Costco.
We decided to push on a little farther to shave some drive time off tomorrow, which means more time to enjoy Indiana Dunes National Park. For the night, we pulled into a rest area in Galesburg, Michigan. The boys stretched their legs with some quick baseball throwing while we threw together dinner. It turned out to be our first rest area overnight of the trip, fittingly on our anniversary. Our family would definitely mark the occasion this way.

Happy (late) anniversary!!
