Day 51: Flour and Photo Shoot

Kelly wanted a redo on our King Arthur’s experience after not getting to eat there the first night in town, so we headed there early for breakfast before checking out. We broke all the traditions: Kelly and Rob had an egg sandwich, but Cooper had a brownie, and Nicholas had a blueberry lavender tart. We left with full, happy bellies and some fresh bread for dinner.

On the drive home Nicholas and Kelly popped out of the car at the local farmers market, where they picked up some fresh organic eggs and green beans.

Once back at the RV, it was all hands on deck to get us packed up and out of our site in the mere 30 minutes we had remaining until checkout. The great teamwork made it go really quickly, and we were out of there with time to spare.

Being the weekend, Rob took a turn at driving and took us through town and on the narrow highway roads for the first 1.5 hours. He opted to have Kelly finish up the last 40 minutes to get us to Ledgeview RV Park.

Randomly, as we were pulling up a guy came jogging over asking if we would be willing to be in a promotional video for the park. We said “sure” and he recorded us doing check-in. We thought that was it, but he kept popping up throughout the day: including at the pool and the game room. It seemed like a fun job for this guy to have.

Cooper’s tournament in Cooperstown starts in two days, so we deliberately slowed our activity pace, just hanging out as a family this weekend. This campground is amazing: pickleball, paved paths for bike riding, a big pool, and a game room where we enjoyed some family foosball and many other games we hadn’t seen at a campground before, like Plinko. We even found space for drone flying, a first on this trip.

We finished up the day of campground activities with even more s’mores, where our videographer friend also ended his day. Don’t get too excited, though: apparently our campground video debut is unlikely to happen before next summer.
