Day 30: See ya, Yinzers
Some pre-departure frisbee golf.

Another drive day. We’re in the midst of a exhausting, long stretch of 2-night stops. This time, we’re headed to Hershey, Pennsylvania, which actually isn’t that far away, so we took advantage and planned a morning at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh before heading out. Everything is a bit more complicated on travel days with a huge RV and tow car–Rob found a Walmart we could ditch the RV in before heading back to the city to explore.
The museum itself was fairly interesting. Despite the Heinz name, only some of it was ketchup-related.

Most interesting to Rob were the original set pieces from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, a show he watched a ton as a child.

Unsurprisingly, the kids loved the sports section, focused on western Pennsylvania.

The rest of today’s drive was glorious, with wide-open, multi-lane, smooth roads. The hours clicked by so quickly.

We ended the day at the campground (always a good thing on a drive day), in Elizabethtown, just outside Hershey.
