Day 9: Traveling to Bryce Canyon
After over a year of no colds in our house, we forgot what it was like to have sick kids. We figured Cooper had allergies since he’d been sneezing the last couple days, but today Nicholas woke up with classic cold symptoms, and Cooper’s symptoms also worsened. Poor guys. We laid low and packed up slowly for our 11 a.m. departure from Zion.
The trip to Bryce Canyon was beautiful and included a trip through the tunnel from a couple days ago. They alternate directions in the tunnel all day so tall vehicles like ours can drive right down the middle of the two lanes.
We arrived at Ruby’s Campground in Bryce Canyon City, which is like a little city with everything you could ever want. It also has a great WiFi connection, which is why we started catching up on blog posts. For a short adventure, we went to the visitor center to get the Junior Ranger packets for the kids to start completing. We also did a 10 minute stop at the pool on the way home.
Fingers crossed Nicholas and Cooper have a good night’s rest and start feeling better tomorrow.
