Day 47: More Birds A-poopin’

It was a Wednesday, but we stayed close to home.

Cooper and I did head out for a day date adventure to the Betty Steflik Memorial Preserve.

We saw this cool looking bird on the railing. Cooper then started making noises and flapping his arms. I asked what he was doing, and he said: “I am trying to scare it away so it can’t poop on you.” Ah, buddy you are the best! Wouldn’t you know it, just as we got closer the bird took off and pooped, but fortunately thanks to Cooper’s efforts it missed me. He later commented it was really cool to watch it poop and kept talking about the textures (you’re welcome for sharing these extra details so you can visualize it too).

We have had some crazy rains that come on quick, but also end quick. We did a little bike riding in the afternoon, but otherwise laid low.

The highlight for the kids was that they each got to have a video call with one of their friends. It had been way to long since they had that opportunity.

This was our last day before heading out further south. Before we left, we parked in a vacant site with a sewer hookup so we could take showers and hold the dumping tanks.
